For the first few days I was basically getting to know everyone while watching training videos. Then after that I was given Sid the Sloth rig and an egg for a test animation! My first official shot is with Manny the Mammoth and he says, "...humpff." lol! It's a uber quick shot, but it will help me to get my feet wet in the whole process.

Oh yeah, great news! I was picked up as a contract worker for Blue Sky Studios! It's a 4-6 month gig and they are putting me (well, all the contract workers) up in a fully furnished apartment with a gym and everything! I promise I will get those fatty McButter Pants love handels to go away! So this will be my first job on a film for character animation!! I'm super excited, of course and I will try to keep this site updated with the goings on there.

On another side note, I also sent in my stuff to Insomniac Studios a few weeks ago and recieved a test back. You can see the results of my test in the videos section. It was comprised of 4 animations. 1 of which had to be a "motion cycle" of the alien rig and the other 3 were a walk, attack and death animation using a female robot rig. There were restrictions on frame count and what not, and the female rig was a little broken and diffcult to deal with, but for the most part I was happy how they turned out. Each one took about 2-3 hours to do. I decided to base my death off of the attack I first made, so I compiled the two together to make a sequence... enjoy!
